Why?

There is no easy answer to the question, "why?", but I guess this blog is borne out of sheer frustration. You know those surveys someone always refers to that shows how much time we waste at work? For example, how much time is spent on the internet, at the watercooler, etc. Do any of those surveys reveal how much of my life is spent behind the wheel staring at a light that refuses to change? There has got to be one out there somewhere.

Wait! I know where it is! Sitting on the passenger seat of some poor shmoe's car who is stuck behind a light that is taking forever to change!

I am not attempting to make a change here, just blowing off steam. You can too, by posting your thoughts on this mess. The Citizens of Raleigh have spoken, as they on a bond act that will synchronize all of the lights in Raleigh. More on that later. For now, here are my five top ten worst traffic lights in Raleigh. Please let me know where others are, so we can avoid them!

Top Five Worst Lights In Raleigh:

1. Creedmoor Road (Highway 50) and Interste I-540
2. Any traffic light on Capitol Boulevard!
3. Any traffic light in Raleigh
4. Wake Forest
5. New Hope Church Road @ Louisburg Road (401)

Where Am I Going?

Absolutely nowhere, thanks to the traffic lights in Raleigh, North Carolina.

It was a simple journey, one I make every day...

I am either taking the boy to daycare, going to work, coming home from work, running to the store, or whatever.

And there they are. Hanging in the air like some awful floating demon, who haunts my everyday comings and goings.

Why? Why me? What did I do to deserve this? This is a great town with many positives, but one negative, the traffic lights, are killing me.

Soon I will post pictures and stories about the worst intersections this city has. I invite you to do the same. Send me your stories of time wasted, mileage lost and increased stress levels thanks to these awful things.

If you are reading this from outside Raleigh, North Carolina, feel free to send along stories from where you live!

Until then, my thoughts are with you, weary road warrior!

Welcome To My Blog!

This 'Blog will be dedicated to finding and avoiding (if possible) the longest traffic lights here in my hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina.
